A Little About The Elk River
Our Elk River Float Trips range from Class I to Class II, making them ideal for first-time floaters and those looking to kick back and relax with friends. The Elk River offers crystal clear waters, beautiful views of bluffs, gravel bars and swimming areas. Float from Pineville to Ginger Blue, Ginger Blue to Noel, or Pineville to Noel.
All of our lodging requires a reservation of at least one day of floating, this service is provided by Elk River Floats. This can be handled as you make your reservation online or over the phone.

Float Trips
The Lower Trip (6 mile float)
- Open all season.
- ALL BOATS: Rafts, Canoes, Kayaks & Tubes
- This float trip departs from Elk River Campground and ends at Wayside Campground.
- Guests are shuttled to the launch location from their accommodations and are shuttled back at the end of the float.
- Guests schedule the shuttle upon check-in, not before. Guest can expect to be on the water 30 minutes to one hour after shuttle departure, so plan accordingly.
The Upper Trip (6 mile float)
- Seasonal Float, dependent on water level.
- 4 & 6 Man Rafts, Canoes, Kayaks & Tubes.
- This float trip departs from Kozy Kamp and ends at Elk River Campground.
- Guests are shuttled to the launch location from their accommodations and are shuttled back at the end of the float.
- Guests schedule the shuttle upon check-in, not before. Guest can expect to be on the water 30 minutes to one hour after shuttle departure, so plan accordingly.
The 12 Mile
- Canoes & Kayaks Only
- This float trip departs from Kozy Kamp and ends at Wayside Campground.
- Guests meet the shuttle at Wayside Campground at 8 AM on Saturdays, 9 AM on Sunday-Friday.
Personal Watercraft
All of our lodging requires a reservation of at least one day of floating, this service is provided by Elk River Floats. Personal water craft can be brought with you for your stay, but will not count toward the required one day of floating
